Behind a discreet facade at 10 Boulevard Princesse Charlotte lies a place that genuinely surprised me: the MSR-JBONET showroom-apartment, which used to be their office before renovation. You push open the door… and the effect is immediate. Volume, light, noble materials, contemporary lines. You forget the old office, you step into a real living space.
For more than 50 years, MSR-JBONET has been shaping the fit-out of spaces in Monaco. At the helm of this family business, Gilles Benhamou carries on the adventure started by his father and grandfather. Historically specialised in professional spaces, the company has for more than 20 years also developed complete residential projects: kitchens, dressing rooms, made-to-measure furniture, outdoor spaces, with an in-house design office.
Their signature? Iconic brands such as Vitra, Cassina and Molteni & C, always brought together with balance and comfort. Here, design is never ostentatious. It’s designed to last, to be lived in.
This new showroom perfectly illustrates that philosophy. The space was opened up, architectural constraints were worked into the made-to-measure kitchen, and the ceiling height was preserved to create a real sense of breathing room. In Monaco, where every square metre is precious, optimisation is essential.
MSR-JBONET also takes on large-scale projects, notably in venues open to the public such as the Princess Grace Hospital Centre, all while supporting a particularly demanding international private clientele.
What stayed with me from this meeting is a genuine culture of detail and functionality. A space must first function well, then move you.
