I got interested in summer camps very early on, perhaps a little too early, since Juliette wasn’t yet old enough to go. It was when I met Laura TOLEDO, right around the time she founded Learning in Action in 2017. Here’s the link to what I wrote about it back then: HERE. I saw it a bit as a gateway to a new Anglo-Saxon culture and to learning English, something I know is essential today. With Juliette in the French school system on one hand, and being French-speaking at home on the other, her chances of speaking English were almost nonexistent. So once she reached summer camp age (7/8 years old), I started looking into it. And naturally, I turned to Laura.
Laura is part of the CampExperts network. Her mission: to help parents find the best experience abroad (studies, summer camps, post-Bac). It’s a tailor-made service, meaning she helps parents find the summer camp (or school) that matches their child’s interests, the language they’re studying, the country, the budget, and so on. If your child plays tennis, is passionate about theatre, or wants to dive deeper into coding, Laura will guide you towards the specialised programmes. It’s a huge help! You save time and you’re guaranteed a good institution. It’s incredibly reassuring!
CampExperts is a company established in the United States over 30 years ago, founded by mothers who were searching for summer camps for their own children. The company provides advice on everything related to summer camps and, more broadly, on children’s experiences abroad. It’s a network of more than 60 people worldwide, with Laura covering Monaco, the south of France and part of Italy. This network provides in-depth knowledge of existing programmes, working with more than 1,000 programmes around the world. CampExperts members visit these different institutions in person and discuss their programmes directly with them. CampExperts’ added value lies in matching each child, as precisely as possible, with the best programme for them.
CampExperts is organising an event on February 4th, 2026 at ISM, the international school, from 2pm to 6pm: the SUMMER CAMP & TEEN PROGRAM EXPO, a fair where around thirty summer camps will be present. The advantage is being able to meet them in person and get guidance from Laura and the CampExperts team. Laura will point you towards the summer camps that match your criteria, saving you valuable time.
See you there on February 4th! I’ll be there with Juliette!
Agathe’s tip: go having already thought through your selection criteria for the programme (budget, country, language, hobbies…). That way you can quickly zero in on the programmes that suit your child.
