I have always been in love with photography. Already young, at the time of the silver prints, I waited impatiently for the arrival of the pictures pocket and I remained hours to look at them again and again with memories of all past moments.

Today at the time of instagram, billions of photos are posted every day. From selfie to landscape, each one captures its vision of the moment, their life and sharing at will. Yes, we are all budding photographers, and yes, some are just photographers with the eye, technique and talent that make it art. The Principality opens them its doors with PhotoMonaco, the international exhibition of art and collection chaired by His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco. This first edition will take place from April 5th to 8th at the Exhibition Hall, Quai Antoine 1er.

PhotoMonaco will bring together all the practices and techniques of art and collection photography, from paper to digital via historical clichés and will offer a high-level cultural program. The show will welcome 35 confirmed exhibitors in art and collection photography, including 15 international galleries and 20 publishers. There are also three thematic exhibitions in three famous places of the Rock: the Grand Apartments of the Prince’s Palace, the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco and the Cars Collection of HSH the Prince of Monaco. This year, the PhotoMonaco ambassador is Nikos Aliagas! You will be able to discover his work in which he shows a significant moment, a look, a movement, a detail.

So for collectors, professionals and art lovers, it’s time to go shopping, to find the cliché that’s right for you. Moreover, it is also an opportunity to discover the photographs of our photographer Beatriz Moreno. She exhibits there through Moving Art Gallery of Veronique de Lavenne.
