When I was a teenager, I was so nearsighted that I had to wear glasses. A few years later, a small intervention and my life became without glasses! Recently, it all changed, I am back on the market of the glasses… comfort glasses. And it’s next to my place that I found a pair – very nice and original- in a shop -very nice and original-: the Opticien créateur.

In any case this shop is worth the trip just for its decoration. It is indeed, the interior designer Dorothéé Meilichzon who has staged this place with incredible elegance: woodwork, marquetry, English wallpaper inspired by the Italian style Fornasetti, mirror effects. It’s a timeless, retro and warm atmosphere.

It’s been five years since Alexandre Cucchi and Sébastien Vives settled in the Principality. Opticians-eyewear by training, they are both experts of the glasses and their advices are informed. In their shop, you will not find traditional brands. They select only designer brands with recognized expertise, specialized exclusively in the manufacture of glasses and with different designs. With them, eyewear becomes jewelry. It can be personalized to infinity thanks to the eyeglasses master craftsmen: tortoiseshell, buffalo horn, gold, slate, wood.

There is for every budget, taking into account the quality of the materials, and we can really have fun! My choice fell on a pair of Anne et Valentin, made in the Jura, France and I love them!
