While wandering around the Wine Bar on the quai Louis II, I saw a terrace with some tables -somewhat guinguette- posed in the middle of yachts and sailboats. It was sunny and a good time for a drink. BINGO: the Place to be! A glass of white wine and some oysters!

I had just discovered the “fish tasting” “U LUVASSU” of Monaco’s last fisherman: Eric Rinaldi. Among the Rinaldi, one is a fisherman from father to son. It’s a passion. Eric’s fish is found only in his shop and in some restaurants in the Principality, mainly the restaurants of Maya Bay and the  Chef Paolo Sari.
You now know my attachment to the local products of the Principality and today I present you one more! Eric Rinaldi created the fish soup of Monaco, a mix of rock fish, small scorpion fish and others whose recipe is well kept! It is sold on site in jar or tasting.

It’s only recently that he decided -with his partners, Fanny and Bruno Laracca- to offer us this very authentic terrace. It is rustic: the fish leaves the stall and finds itself in our plate (recyclable coconut)! There is no menu! The carte is the shop window! Who says better to taste a tartare, a carpaccio, some oysters … At this moment we find red mullet, monkfish, capon, cuttlefish, some langoustines. Every day it changes … fishing oblige!

Local fishing accounts for 30% of the fish shop. There is also salmon, oysters, shellfish and organic farmed fish. It is Fanny and Bruno who move to select only farms where the fish are raised on the open sea. Thus all their fish are of quality. Fanny and Bruno are part of the Mr good Fish Commission of the Prince Albert II Foundation which informs to consume responsible.

It’s a very nice team: professional, quality conscious, respectful of the environment and very pleasant!

An authentic address to discover without further delay!

It’s open from Monday to Saturday. Home delivery.
